Lens Blocking Alloys For Glass And Plastic Lenses

We produce Three alloys which are used for lens blocking. The most popular is Lens Alloy 117 which has a eutectic melting point of 47oC. Then there is Lens alloy 136 which is also a eutectic at 58oC. And finally Bend alloy a eutectic at 70oC. (because of the higher melting point of this alloy it is mainly used for glass lenses only and has been superseded buy the other Two alloys above)

All three of these alloys are sold buy the kilo, and are produced in 1 kilo ingots.

We keep Lens alloy 117 and Bend alloy in stock, but Lens alloy 136 is made to order.
